Halloween is in just a few days! I said at the beginning of October that I would of course be doing a few Halloween posts! I wrote a post on Halloween Movies and 5 Last Minute Halloween Costumes if you would like to check those out, feel free :)
But, for today's post I am going to present you a list of 10 of my favourite songs for Halloween.
1. Thriller - Michael Jackson
I couldn't start off this list without the absolute CLASSIC that is Thriller by Michael Jackson. It is one of the most popular music video of all time and is the perfect song for Halloween.
2. Heads Will Roll - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
"Off with your head, dance, dance til you're dead." I quite love the music video for this song. This song is great for Halloween.
3. Pet Sematary - Ramones
I have always loved the Ramones' music, but this is by far one of my favourites so I simply had to include it in this post. "Come out of the ground not making a sound, the smell of death is all around."
4. Highway to Hell - AC/DC
One of the BEST songs ever written and performed by one of the most incredible bands, AC/DC. This song is most definitely perfect for Halloween, am I right? Not only are the lyrics great but a gratifying song rock the fuck out to.
5. Zombie - The Cranberries
One of my all time favourite songs. This song will sure create a rock/grunge vibe for your Halloween.
6. Pumped Up Kicks - Foster the People
This song is another one of my absolute favourite songs. It hasn't got elements of what you would expect from Halloween - Zombies, Hell, etc. However, I feel like it is such a strange, spine-chilling song, which is Halloween related enough for me!
7. Spiderhead - Cage the Elephant
Here is a laid back but highly enjoyable song. Spiders, spiders, spiders, definitely something that you can link to Halloween. Cage the Elephant are one of my favourite bands, so if you haven't listened to them already then please do!
8. Forever Halloween - The Maine
Oh look, another one of my favourite bands!
The Maine are such an incredible band, their music is truly beautiful and just so incredible and I am sure that this song here, Forever Halloween, will prove my point.
9. Secret - The Pierces
I'm sure many of you will have heard this song while watching Pretty Little Liars or Gossip Girl. But I think we can agree that the lyrics make this song the PERFECT Halloween song.
10. Skulls - The Misfits
I have always loved this band, I really do wish that a lot of bands these days were a bit more like the Misfits.
I guess a lot of their music, such as Skulls, as well as Halloween, Don't Open Til Doomsday, Scream!, Ghouls Night Out, and many more of their songs - would fit in with the Halloween theme. Many elements within their music can relate to this.
